Public services of the library are available by anyone who undertakes to abide by the library's regulations.

Members of the library

you can become a member of the library if you give and justify your personal data and pay the fee.

A user under 18 should have the guarantee, the written approval of a parent or guardian of Hungarian citizenship above 18.

A foreign citizen should present both his/her passport and his/her temporary residence permit. If the foreign citizen has no temporary residence permit, he/she should have the guarantee of a Hungarian citizen above 18.

Visitors of the library

Visitors are entitled only to certian services which are free of charge for them. E-Hungary is an electronic service point offering information service and access to the Internet. Anybody can use it for half an hour free of charge. Then HUF 125, - / each hour started must be paid.

visit of the library use of the magazine reading-room and the Children's World, both being on the ground-floor given services on the 1st floor: information about our services and collection printed documents only for reference other services for not only members (cloakroom, area for smoking, visit of public events etc.) card and electronic catalogues of the library

Lending

books for 4 weeks, but certain titles only for 1-2 weeks; max. 6 titles per member at a time documents of the reading-rooms in limited copies and for limited periods CD, computer-aided annexes to printes documents, audio casettes of language training: 2 pieces, for not more than 3 days certain periodicals for 4 weeks, altogether 2 pieces at a time cassettes of language training: 2 pieces for 4 weeks talking books: one piece, for not more than 4 weeks given periodicals: 2 pieces, for not more than 4 weeks music LP and casette: 4 pieces for 2 weeks, CD-s: 4 pieces for 3 days

Renewal

the loan can be renewed only once, before the expiry of the time-limit (for further 4 or 2 weeks) without presentation of the document and also on the phone. Documents being reserved, audio documents and computer aided annexes of printed documents can not be renewed.

Reservation

reservation may be required for the borrowed documents, an amount in HUF 30,- /document is to be paid upon the lending.
